Mitchell Jennings

Community Pastor

Mitchell is the Community Pastor at Remain. Born and raised in Lawton, Oklahoma, Mitchell grew up in a relatively conservative Christian home. He attended church every time the doors were open from his earliest memories through high school. He moved to Shawnee, OK after high school to pursue education in Cross-Cultural Ministry. After 2 years at OBU, Mitchell left school to embark on a journey of full time ministry. During this time, he met his partner, Justin, and a previously very secret part of him became very public. Mistiniry in most churches seemed to longer be an option. After moving to OKC, Mitchell connected with Remain and a door to ministry was re-opened. The previously “Hell Bound Homo” gets to be a pastor and preach the gospel in an environment where sexuality and identity aren’t conditions of love and grace. Mitchell preaches from time to time in his favorite story telling style. He also finds us a way out of the church regularly to hang out with our friends who aren’t comfortable with the church.

“We aren’t here to convert our rainbow friends, we are here to be a safe place full of love, acceptance, and grace for any and all friends. Honestly, I just want to have a great time with great people.”

Candice Teets

Worship Pastor

Candice Teets is the Worship Pastor at Remain Community Church. Born and raised in Oklahoma, she is a member of the Comanche Nation and currently lives in Newcastle with her husband, John and their two children. Candice is a musician, content creator that focuses on reconciliation between the Church and the Indigenous Community, and educator working within the Oklahoma Public School system. She began pursuing her education in music starting in high school, eventually earning her bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance from Mid America Christian University. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Adult and Higher Education.

Candice has served in the church since she was very young. She felt the call to pursue worship ministry full time and left her family & college education to spend some time at the International House of Prayer serving with worship leaders such as Misty Edwards & Cory Asbury. She has lead worship in many churches around the OKC metro over the last 14 years. She has always connected to God through music and has been passionate about worship ministry from a very young age. She has a passion for Jesus and a passion for other believers to connect to God as their authentic self, without fear of rejection.

Sara Faerber

Sara was born and raised in the small town of Jones, Ok. I graduated in 2022 with my degree in Music Education and a degree in Bible. I have been serving alongside my wonderful husband Kennedy Faerber since 2021!

As a family we believe in equality and love to all! We believe that every child was created with a purpose and a gift. I hope to provide a fun and safe atmosphere for every child and family that comes into my care no matter who they are!
